My son, Oscar Arellano Jr., had Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He passed away February 27, 2017 from complications with his heart. Duchenne affects all muscles of the body including the heart and lungs. Many children's and young adults' lives are cut too short because of this disease. We are doing this fundraiser in his name to support how much the Muscular Dystrophy Association has helped us in the past. This is our part to give back.
People living with muscular dystrophy, ALS and other related neuromuscular diseases, are robbed of the strength that most of us take for granted every day – the strength to walk, talk, laugh, hug, even breathe.
I'm participating in the MDA Muscle Walk to join MDA to find research breakthroughs across diseases, provide funds to make care for kids and adults available from day one, and empower families in hometowns across America with support to live longer and grow stronger.
Please make a donation to support me and the MDA and their mission to transform the lives of people living with neuromuscular disease.
