Cirque Climbing invites you to join us for our first everWall Crush competition and fundraiser to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. It is open to climbers of all skill levels and ages. This friendly competition will include prizes and a (weather dependent) BBQ.

Wall Crush is held in support of Jon Olson's MDA Ride. Jon has muscular dystrophy and was cycling solo from coast to coast to raise awareness and money for MDA. On August 22nd, 2019, 2600 miles into his ride, his journey was cut short when he and his riding partner were struck by a vehicle from behind. Both men were critically injured and continue to heal from their injuries. This event is to help fill in the money Jon would have raised for MDA had he been able to complete his ride as planned. We are confident our climbers can not only reach but crush Jon's fundraising goal! (You can check out Jon's Instagram page here. ) In turn, your efforts will help fund programs and research to benefit others living with neuromuscular disease.

Every day babies are born with muscular dystrophy and children and adults are diagnosed with ALS and other related muscle-debilitating diseases that take away their most basic freedoms- like walking, talking, eating, hugging, and ultimately, life itself. MDA is working to give these abilities back through early interventions, local engagement,  and the search for better treatments and cures. In fact, when Jon was struck by the car, MDA put him in touch with one of their care center specialists who played a critical role in Jon's care in the hospital.

Competition details:

In this competition format the crushers will be in direct competition with Joe Alpine.

Rope climbs will have assigned point values determined by their difficulty. The harder the climb, the higher the point value. Competitors will have 4 hours to accumulate as many points as possible. This will mean both your endurance and your climbing skill will contribute to your total point value. Climbers must climb routes clean without any takes or falls to receive points for the route. If a climber falls or takes they must be lowered immediately and get back in line before attempting again. However, climbers may also climb routes multiple times to accrue additional points.

  • Top individual score will win a year’s membership to Cirque Climbing
  • Top team score will receive a quarterly Cirque Climbing membership for each team member.
  • Prizes donated by our sponsors will go to a drawing for all of our competitors
  • Your fundraising will be giving strength to children and adults with neuromuscular diseases

Climbers may choose to participate individually or in teams of 4.

Registration is $40 per climber or $150 per team.

Each climber will receive a Wall Crush t-shirt (on a first registered, first served basis, while supplies last).

All participants are required to set a fundraising goal and solicit donations prior to the event. Free belay lessons will be provided to participants. Waivers must be submitted to Cirque Climbing before climbing. Here's the link to the waiver.
