Justin Skeesuck and Patrick Gray are lifelong friends with a unique relationship. Justin’s diagnosis of a rare neuromuscular disease has forced him to live life from a wheelchair, but this challenge has done nothing to stop these two friends from living life to the fullest. Their thirst for adventure led the two on an impossible journey, a 500-mile pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago through Spain, with Patrick pushing Justin in a wheelchair. While Patrick, and others, physically pushed Justin the distance, Justin pushed Patrick, mentally and emotionally, into a new world of joy and freedom. Success in the face of obstacle-ridden paths lies within the quality of our relationships, the community we surround ourselves with, and our ability to embrace the help we need.

Their passion for others to overcome the challenges they face is why Justin and Patrick are excited to partner with the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Funds raised will help send kids to MDA Summer Camp, a place where children living with neuromuscular disease learn to push their own limits, how to ask for and receive help, and feel empowered to advocate for themselves. No challenge is too great to overcome, but to do so, we must be willing to let others “push” us beyond the limitations we believe we possess.

Will you join us in this effort and donate directly to the Muscular Dystrophy Association?
