In 2011, Delaney Gibbons and Taylor Morrissey created this event in support of their Meadow Glens Elementary School PE teacher's wife, Denise, who had been diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. To date, this event has raised over $90,000 for ALS research, patient/family support and education. This year they will host their 6th annual event in honor of Denise, who lost her battle to ALS in July.

The Sixth Annual Dodgin’ 4 Lou Gehrig’s Disease Dodgeball Tournament will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at Naperville North High School (Main Gym & Field House).
